Shout out to the chairs, the chairs were pretty cool.
On May 11th we attended the launch of The Italian Job’s Notting Hill branch.
This is not our first experience with The Italian Job. As avid beer drinkers, our first encounter was with their craft beer shack at Mercato Metropolitano in Elephant & Castle, so when we received the invitation to visit their new branch, we jumped at the opportunity.
It was a pleasant night. There was a great selection of beverages and Italian street food, which were coupled with a relaxed and typically-pubby atmosphere.
Up the stairs to the second floor, we found Salotto ‘900, the super cosy cocktail bar with a menu created by the star mixologist Luca Corradini of one of our favourite bars: Oriole. This clearly sparked some excitement – the line wait was ~30 mins – so we opted for some great wine instead.
Overall, our takeaway was that if you want to escape the pretence but keep the quality of upper end cocktail bars, this specific branch is the obvious choice. Just look at these beauties…
